# EMR Integrations

## Instinct EMR

The **Instinct EMR Integration** page allows you to connect Hachiko directly to your Instinct practice management system for seamless data synchronization. To set up the connection, you will need your **Client ID (API Username)**, **Client Secret (API Credential)**, and **Base URL** — these credentials are provided by the Instinct team.

Once entered, click **Save Configuration**, then **Test Connection** to confirm the link is active. A green **Connected** badge will appear when the integration is working correctly. You can disconnect at any time using the **Disconnect** button.

Once connected, you have access to four data sync actions: **Sync Calendar** pulls your Instinct appointments directly into your Hachiko calendar; **Import Snippets** brings in text snippets from Instinct (use **Force Refresh** to override cached data); **Full Sync** performs a comprehensive sync of all patients and appointments; and **Linked Patients** shows how many patients are currently linked between Hachiko and Instinct. It is recommended to run a **Full Sync** after your initial setup to ensure all records are up to date.

The **Section-to-Instinct Mappings** panel lets you map your Hachiko note section types to Instinct text block titles, enabling structured data to be pushed back into Instinct automatically. Note that mappings will only appear once you have created a template with sections. To create one, navigate to your template settings first. The **Create Patient Record from Instinct** panel allows you to search for an existing Instinct patient by name or owner, optionally enter an **Instinct Visit ID**, select a **Template**, and then click **Create Record** to generate a local Hachiko patient record linked to that Instinct entry. **If you encounter any issues finding patients or syncing data, contact the Instinct support team to verify your API access permissions.**
