# Hachiko Quick Assistant

No matter where you are in the app, the orange **Hachiko** button in the bottom-right corner of every screen gives you instant access to your AI assistant.

Click it at any time to open the Hachiko panel without leaving your current page.

The **Chat** tab connects you to Hachiko, your AI medical assistant. You can select a patient from the dropdown at the top to give Hachiko context, then ask any question about that patient's entire clinical record. Type your question in the **"Ask Hachiko a question..."** field and hit send. Use **Clear chat** to start a fresh conversation at any time. You can also expand the panel to full screen using the arrow icon in the top-right corner.

The **Scribe** tab is your built-in AI voice scribe. Optionally enter a **Recording Title** and link the recording to a specific patient. Then select the appropriate **Recording Type** for your context: **Dictation** (transcribe only), **Phone Call** (call notes), **Rounds** (patient rounds), or **Appointment** (consultation). Once ready, tap **Start Recording**. Each recording type is optimized for its clinical context, and medical terminology is reviewed for accuracy. In Dictation mode, only a transcript is generated — no summary.
